MANILA, Philippines — The Manila government yesterday approved an ordinance increasing the monthly cash allowance given to the city’s senior citizens.
Starting next year, elderly residents in Manila will receive P1,000. Mayor Honey Lacuna yesterday signed Ordinance 9081, increasing the cash aid from P500 to P1,000.
The local government allocated P2.4 billion for senior citizens’ allowances for 2025.
