MANILA, Philippines — The unauthorized use of the exclusive EDSA busway yesterday by Apollo Quiboloy and his convoy was condemned by the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
Quiboloy’s convoy used the EDSA Carousel on its way to a Senate hearing yesterday, according to the DOTr-Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT).
Accompanied by media vehicles, the convoy left the police custodial facility at Camp Crame and breached the emergency barrier on Annapolis to enter the busway.
A show-cause order is expected to be issued against the drivers engaged by the Land Transportation Office.
Charges may be filed for illegal use of the busway and reckless driving, the SAICT said.
The EDSA busway is reserved for authorized public transport and emergency vehicles, the SAICT noted.
