Presidential museum in Baguio Mansion House opens to public

BAGUIO CITY — The Presidential Museum at The Mansion, the official residence of the Philippine President in C.P. Romulo Drive, Wright Park in Baguio City, opened to the public on Sunday morning, September 8.

First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, who is spearheading the rehabilitation of the historical and famous tourist site, led the opening rites.

According to Office of the President Social Secretary Bianca Cristina Zobel there are around 500 tourists and visitors on weekdays and around 3.000 on weekends at the Presidential Museum and the Mansion House said that

Featured in the Presidential Museumss are historical memorabilia and paintings. She said some of the paintings came from Malacañang Palace in Manila as there is no more space there.

Zobel said the public can now take their photographs inside The Mansion especially at the Presidential Museum. 

To maintain order inside, she advised those interested to visit the museum to book a tour. Zobel said they can take 20 people every tour to avoid crowding.

Zobel addec that there are still pending construction work inside as part of the rehabilitation of The Mansion.
