MANILA, Philippines — A radiologic technologist was gunned down by motorcycle-riding men in Quezon City on Wednesday.
Daniel Romas, 23, was driving his motorcycle along Mendez Road in Barangay Baesa when he was shot at around 5:30 a.m., police said.
Citing the accounts of witnesses, probers said two people on a motorcycle, one of whom was armed with a handgun, attacked Romas.
After he was hit by a bullet, Romas crashed his motorcycle on the side of the road and died at the scene.
The assailants sped off toward an unknown destination.
Police said Romas died from a gunshot wound in the mouth. A bullet casing from a 9mm pistol was recovered at the scene.
A police manhunt is ongoing for the assailants’ arrest. The motive for the shooting is the subject of a follow-up investigation.
