CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two persons were rescued when a boat sank in the waters off the coast of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro on Wednesday.
Jerome Panucia and Khristian Ayson were on the motorboat Raff Gian when it was hit by big waves and strong winds.
The Philippine Coast Guard-Lobo station responded to the incident after being informed by the PCG-Calapan sub-station, according to Bantay Dagat head Isko Ramirez.
The boat was towed to the shore off Barangay Lazareto.
