Go leads relief ops for Navotas residents

MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go, together with Mayor John Rey Tiangco and Vice Mayor Kap Tito Sanchez, led a relief operation for 800 Navotas City residents, consisting of persons with disabilities, senior citizens and indigents at the San Roque Elementary School on Tuesday.

Go’s team distributed grocery packs, vitamins, masks and meals. Select recipients were given bicycles, mobile phones, shirts, watches and balls for basketball and volleyball.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development extended financial assistance to the qualified beneficiaries.

Go’s team was scheduled to provide assistance to 200 more residents yesterday.

Go also led another distribution effort in Navotas for recovering fire victims on Tuesday in coordination with the National Housing Authority, which provided emergency housing assistance to qualified beneficiaries.
