MANILA, Philippines — The remains of the six passengers of a Cessna plane that crashed in Isabela have been brought down to the town proper of Divilacan, authorities said yesterday.
A composite team of the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force helped carry the remains of the victims.
The team said they had difficulty bringing down the bodies due to slippery terrain.
A helicopter of the Philippine Air Force was supposed to airlift the bodies to Cauayan City yesterday, but bad weather prevented it from doing so. As of 5 p.m., the remains were still in Divilacan.
The Cessna 206 was reported missing on Jan. 24 after it took off from the Cauayan Airport for Maconacon town.
The aircraft was found on March 9, or 44 days after it went missing.
