MANILA, Philippines — A hoax terror attack and an unattended bag disrupted classes at a school in Quezon City yesterday.
The bomb scare at the San Francisco High School in Barangay Sto. Cristo occurred at around 1 p.m.
Police said the school’s assistant principal received a message on Facebook from John Keven Mangahas, who claimed that a bomb was placed by terrorists on the campus.
Other school officials panicked after an unattended bag was discovered on the third floor of the senior high school building, prompting them to suspend classes.
After classes were suspended, teachers and students were evacuated as police arrived at the scene.
Police searched the school but did not find any explosive.
The bag only contained notebooks and a lunch box of a student upon inspection.
