MANILA, Philippines — A policeman who allegedly fired his gun indiscriminately was arrested in Rosario, Batangas on Monday.
S/Sgt. Ronald Pamis, 36, who is assigned with the Philippine National Police Health Service at Camp Crame, was arrested in Barangay Bulihan at around 8:30 p.m., according to a police report.
Police responded to a call from a concerned citizen about a man who was firing his handgun.
Apart from criminal charges, Pamis is facing an administrative complaint.
Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin had earlier warned policemen caught indiscriminately firing their firearms that they would face the full force of the law.
