BF Parañaque gates now open to public

MANILA, Philippines — Motorists can now pass through the gated community at BF Homes subdivision in Parañaque City.

The Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC) has ordered the BF Federation of Homeowners’ Associations Inc. (BFFHAI) to open the gates of the subdivision to the public.

The HSAC earlier issued a writ of preliminary injunction against BF Homes.

“The BFFHAI is hereby enjoined from requiring car stickers before allowing the passage of vehicles and imposing entry fees on delivery service providers,” read the HSAC ruling dated July 29.

BF Homes was ordered to allow the unobstructed entry and exit of vehicles on Aguirre Avenue, Elizalde street, El Grande Avenue, Concha Cruz street and Tropical street.

Prior to the ruling, motorists entering the subdivision were required to leave their identification cards at the gates.

In an interview with The STAR, BF Homes security guards, who asked not to be named, said they received an order to keep the subdivision’s barriers up.

Barangay BF chairman Paolo Marquez said they are undertaking the necessary adjustments to address future security and traffic concerns.

“The preliminary injunction issued by the HSAC is temporary,” he said.

Barangay BF is the largest village in the city, with a population of over 90,000.
