2 wanted fugitives nabbed in Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Two most wanted fugitives in Metro Manila were arrested by police on Sunday night.

In Valenzuela, rape suspect Mario Morales, 48, was apprehended by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Barangay Marulas at around 7:16 p.m.

CIDG National Capital Region field office chief Col. Randy Glenn Silvio said Morales, the sixth most wanted man in Malabon, was served with a warrant of arrest for rape issued by Malabon Regional Trial Court Branch 4 Judge Abigail Domingo-Laylo.

The court did not recommend a bail for Morales’ temporary freedom.

The No. 13 most wanted person of the Pandacan police station 10 in Manila was arrested in Alabang, Muntinlupa at around 6:40 p.m.

Jonjon Centinaje, 38, was nabbed based on a warrant for robbery issued by a court in Valenzuela.

The court set P18,000 bail for Centinaje’s release.
