LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines — The man who claimed to be ”Bikoy” in the controversial ”Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos has admitted killing three candidates for local posts in Donsol, Sorsogon.
Peter Joemel Advincula did not implicate any other person in the crime, Lt. Col. Bogard Arao, Daraga police chief, said.
“We encouraged him to tell us the names of those who could be behind him in killing the three victims. But he told us he did it alone,” Arao told The STAR.
Arao said the evidence they have gathered are sufficient to file murder charges against Advincula.
“The positive identification of Bikoy by the survivor is enough to pin him down for three counts of murder,” the police official said.
Councilor Helen Garay, 53; businesswoman Karen Averilla, 44, and businessman Xavier Mirasol, 61, were found dead in Advincula’s rented unit in a building in Barangay Busay in Daraga, Albay on Thursday.
Garay was running for vice mayor while Averilla and Mirasol were eyeing seats in the town council in Donsol.
The companion of the victims, Lalaine Amor, who managed to escape, pointed to Advincula as the person who invited Garay, Averilla and Mirasol to a meeting before they were found dead.
Arao said three counts of murder were set to be filed against Advincula yesterday.
Advincula’s partner Agnes Abo is running for mayor of Donsol as an independent candidate.
The suspect claimed in videos circulated in 2019 that President Duterte’s family members were involved in the illegal drug trade.
