MANILA, Philippines (Updated August 26, 12:07 p.m.) — Former Ozamiz City vice mayor Nova Princess Parojinog was transferred yesterday from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center at Camp Crame to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Olay said Parojinog was moved to the BJMP at around 2 p.m.

Olay said Parojinog’s transfer was in compliance with an order of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 95 in February last year.

Olay said he has no information why it took more than a year before Parojinog was transferred to the BJMP.

Parojiog was arrested during a drug raid on their house in Ozamiz City in July 2017.

A police official whom she accused of sexually assaulting her while in detention at Camp Crame was sacked from his post.
