MANILA, Philippines — The Navotas government has restricted the entry of travelers outside the National Capital Region Plus, Mayor Toby Tiangco said.
Travelers from outside Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal need to register at s-pass.ph before they could enter the coastal city, Tiangco said.
The travelers need to submit health declaration forms or medical certificates in the portal.
The local government will also require a negative RT-PCR test result for travelers as well as a barangay certificate about their quarantine period and their address in Navotas, Tiangco said.
“The travel restriction is a precautionary measure to ensure that we will not suffer another surge in COVID cases,” he said.
Navotas has recorded 98 active cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday.
