MANILA, Philippines — The Manila city government finished the construction of its COVID-19 field hospital in Rizal Park in less than two months, Mayor Isko Moreno announced yesterday.

On Facebook, Moreno said the local government finished constructing the 336-bed hospital in 52 days.

Its target date of completion was 60 days.

The P154-million mobile hospital, constructed out of modular containers, will house mild and moderate cases of COVID-19.

The facility is the city’s seventh public hospital dedicated to COVID-19 cases, Moreno said.
