Caloocan residents laud lawmaker’s election to HRET

MANILA, Philippines — Residents of Caloocan on Friday lauded the election of District 1 Rep. Dale Malapitan as head of the contingent to the House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal (HRET) under the leadership of Speaker Lord Allan Velasco.

“It’s an honor to be elected as the head (of the) contingent for this honorable body and I vow to fulfill my duties and swiftly act on any petition or contest involving our members,” Malapitan, who is on his second term, said.

Prior his election to the HRET, Malapitan chaired the House committee on poverty alleviation.
