MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police chief Gen. Camilo Cascolan on Friday imposed another major revamp affecting seven key PNP officials.

In a special order, Cascolan designated former deputy comptroller Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Olay as director of the Health Service, the PNP’s medical frontline unit against COVID-19. Replacing him is Brig. Gen. Roque Eduardo Ega.

Brig. Gen. Herminio Tadeo Jr. was appointed deputy chief of the Directorate for Information and Communication Technology Management (DICTM) while Brig. Gen. Rex dela Rosa was named Finance Service director.

Cascolan also appointed Brig. Gen. Danile Mayoni, formerly from the DICTM, as deputy police and community relations chief.

The two other police officials who got new posts are Col. Arthur Cabalona as executive officer of the Directorate for Comptrollership and Col. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., who was designated as executive officer of the Directorate for Research and Doctrine Development.

According to Cascolan, the latest revamp was prompted by the retirement of some senior officials.

Cascolan earlier designated Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar as deputy chief for administration and Lt. Gen. Cesar Binag as deputy chief for operations.
