MANILA, Philippines — Travel time from Manila to Baguio City is expected to be reduced from six to three hours with the completion of the last segment of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) yesterday.
The 11-kilometer segment of the expressway from Pozorrubio in Pangasinan to Rosario in La Union is part of the 88.85-kilometer toll road that links Northern Luzon and Metro Manila.
It is seen to reduce travel time between Tarlac City and Rosario from 3.5 hours to only an hour. Around 200,000 motorists use the portion of the expressway.
The construction of the segment started in April 2018.
