MANILA, Philippines — Police will start arresting tricycle drivers who would be found plying the roads in Pasig City, the National Capital Region Police Office said yesterday, citing the suspension of public mass transportation implemented under the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.

The order came after Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto questioned the ban on tricycles and allowed them to ferry individuals, particularly health workers, exempted from the enhanced community quarantine.

He later agreed to comply with the restrictions imposed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government and instead fielded electric tricycles to ferry those with essential travel.
