CAMP OSCAR FLORENDO, Philippines – At least 160 newly appointed police officers in Ilocos took their oath at the regional police office here yesterday.
Lt. Col. Ricky Neron, regional training director, received the police recruits – 29 women and 131 men – for a six-month training in Aringay, La Union.
Brig. Gen. Joel Orduña, Ilocos police director, administered the oath of office of the police recruits.
Orduña reminded the new police officers to train hard to be physically, mentally and spiritually prepared for their work and to become professional and competent public servants with high standards of morality and discipline.
A patrolman, the lowest rank in the police service, will receive a monthly basic pay of P29,668 exclusive of allowances during their training.
