MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has warned operators and drivers of trucks-for-hire against carrying passengers.
In an advisory, the LTFRB said violators would be arrested in accordance with existing transport laws.
The advisory was issued on Thursday in the aftermath of an accident involving a six-wheeler truck in T’Boli, South Cotabato that left 20 people dead and 14 others injured.
Probers said the passengers of the truck came from a family reunion when it fell into a ravine.
