TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — A student was electrocuted while doing laundry at her house in Barangay 8 San Rufino, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte on Monday.
Initial investigation showed that the hands of Jessica Mamuad, 17, were wet when she accidentally touched an electrical cord attached to a washing machine at around 11 a.m.
Mamuad died while being treated in a hospital.
