DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Three Indonesian fishermen have been rescued in the waters off Mati City in Davao Oriental.
The Indonesians, identified as Paulus Baeruma, 50; Batinus Paniat, 54, and Pente Laberu, 45, were spotted by local fishermen drif-ting near Barangay Bobon on Wednesday.
City police chief Maj. Bembo Aying said the Indonesians were on their way home when strong winds and waves battered their boat.
They drifted for four days before they were rescued.
