Davao prison accountant slain

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – The accountant of the Davao Prison and Penal Colony (Dapecol) in Tagum City, Davao del Norte was gunned down on Sunday.

James Taping Davide, 63, was in a vehicle on his way to join a family outing in Mabini, Compostela Valley when two unidentified men on a motorcycle fired at him.

Davide died on the way to the Tagum Doctors Hospital.
