ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – The commander of a police station in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay was hurt in an ambush on Thursday.
Inspector Dexter Gumahob Adrias and his team were supposed to help serve a warrant for the arrest of a man charged with murder, illegal possession of firearms and piracy when they were waylaid in Barangay Sinusayan, said Chief Superintendent Miguel Antonio, Western Mindanao police director.
Adrias was brought to a hospital for treatment.
