Magnitude 5.0 quake hits Cagayan

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 5.0 earthquake hit Cagayan yesterday but did not cause any damage, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

 The quake occurred at 10:29 a.m. with its epicenter located at 79 kilometers northeast of Claveria, Cagayan. It was felt at Intensity 2 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte and Claveria. 

Phivolcs warned the public of possible aftershocks.
