COTABATO CITY, Philippines - Thirteen were badly hurt when a motorcycle and a passenger van trailing behind collided with a truck parked along a highway in Sultan Mastura town in Maguindanao.
Responding policemen and barangay officials immediately rushed to the Cotabato Regional Medical Center here the injured motorists and the van passengers for medication.
A popular radio outfit here, Catholic station dxMS of the Notre Dame Broadcasting Corporation, quoted in a report sources from the Sultan Mastura municipal police as saying that the motorcycle and the van were en route to Cotabato City when both hit the truck.
The idle Isuzu Elf truck, parked along a stretch of the Cotabato-Marawi Highway in Barangay Tambo in Sultan Mastura, is full of dried copra, apparently to be delivered to Cotabato City.
The driver of the truck reportedly submitted immediately to responding investigators his driver’s license and the vehicle’s registration papers.
