6 DSWD directors replaced

MANILA, Philippines – Six regional directors of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) have been relieved from their posts as part of the regular reshuffle in the department every three years.

Vicente Leyson, who headed the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction,  now heads the Metro Manila field office. He replaced Alice Bonoan, who was assigned to the DSWD central office.

Rebecca Geamala, former assistant regional director for operations in Western Visayas, replaced Ma. Evelyn Macapobre, who was transferred to the Central Visayas field office.

Northern Mindanao director Araceli Solamillo was transferred to the Western Mindanao field office. Eastern Visayas director Nestor Ramos replaced her.

Resty Macuto, former Eastern Visayas director for operations, is the new Eastern Visayas director.

Shalaine Marie Lucero, former assistant director for operations in Central Visayas, was appointed director of the Negros Island Region field office.
