BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – A 27-year-old farmer was arrested after he reportedly shot and wounded his father during a quarrel in Lianga, Surigao del Sur on Sunday.
Reports said the victim, Emelito Pancit Sr., chased his son Emelito Jr. with a bolo, prompting the latter to shoot him in Barangay Banahaw.
Relatives rushed the victim to the Lianga District Hospital for treatment while responding police officers arrested the suspect.
