MANILA, Philippines – At least six mild earthquakes hit Surigao del Norte again yesterday and on Thursday, the Philippine Institute for Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the quakes of magnitudes 3 and 2.7 hit at 12:40 a.m. and 11: 48 a.m., respectively. The first quake was located at 17 kilometers southeast of Burgos town.
Four other quakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.8 to 3.9 hit the province on Thursday.
On Wednesday, moderate quakes with magnitudes of 4.2 and 5.2 also hit the province.
