DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Maj. Gen. Leonardo Guerrero will be installed as the new chief of the Eastern Mindanao Command.
Guerrero will replace Lt. Gen. Aurelio Baladad, who reached the mandatory age of retirement.
Armed Forces chief Hernando Iriberri will preside over the change of command and testimonial review with retirement ceremony at Camp Panacan here today.
Guerrero, a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Maharlika” Class of 1984, is a former commander of the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division, senior military assistant to the president, deputy to the assistant chief of staff for intelligence of the Army and operations officer of the Philippine contingent to East Timor.
