MALASIQUI, Pangasinan, Philippines – Authorities yesterday filed murder charges against a police officer tagged in the killing of his neighbor and business partner.
Police Officer 1 Jubert de Vera, 33, of the Urdaneta City police, was arrested minutes after he shot dead Raymond de Guzman, 43, at the victim’s house in Barangay Palong on Saturday night.
Police are eyeing a misunderstanding on the sale of a property that the victim and suspect brokered as a motive for the killing.
