MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on early Saturday morning reported a magnitude 4.7 earthquake that jolted Davao City.
The quake that occurred at 1:33 a.m. was located 14 kilometers northwest of Davao City.
Phivolcs recorded the tremor at Intensity 4 felt in Davao City. Intensity 3 was reported in Kidapawan City in the province of North Cotabato and Intensity 1 in Gen. Santos City.
In its advisory, Phivolcs said there were no casualty, damage or reported aftershocks from the earthquake.
No aftershock was expected from the quake, Phivolcs said.
