KORONADAL CITY, Philippines - A lottery jackpot wannabe on Sunday lost P92,000 to burglars who broke into his pick-up truck parked along a busy street while paying for three lotto tickets in a booth nearby.
Robbery victim Jingrerito Plenas told the police the thieves took his bag containing the amount and a booklet of unused bank checks inside his vehicle, parked along Aquino Street in Koronadal City.
“It was the robbers who hit a jackpot without sweat, not me,” Plenas was quoted by police investigators as saying.
Investigators are now collecting recordings of security cameras of establishments around the crime scene to identify the culprits.
