CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – Police will file parricide charges today against a 34-year-old man tagged in the killing of his wife and four children in Valencia City, Bukidnon.
Ramon Saballa reportedly hacked the victims dead as they were sleeping in their house in Barangay Lilingayon on Saturday, according to city police director Superintendent Al Abanales.
The fatalities were identified as Rosemarie, 30; and her children Rose, 13; Arnold, 10; Anabelle, 9, and Ryan, 3.
The suspect told police that he heard voices telling him to kill his family, except the youngest, one-year-old Angeline.
Abanales said the suspect could be suffering from a psychological disorder as he was neither under the influence of liquor nor illegal drugs when he was arrested.
Angeline was turned over to her grandfather Christiodes Bacalso.
