MANILA, Philippines — Unidentified gunmen fired at the coffee shop owned by ABS-CBN broadcaster Anthony Taberna early Friday.

According to a report from radio dzMM, eight caliber .45 bullets hit Ka Tunying's Cafe in Visayas Avenue in Quezon City while 15 bullet shells were recovered around the area.

Footage from the cafe's surveillance camera showed four suspects riding motorcycles in front of the establishment. Two of them alighted from the motorcycle and started firing at the building.

Taberna said that the suspects are only intending to threaten him and not to inflict harm.

"Kung ang gusto talaga nila dito ay manakit, to inflict harm on anyone, ay gagawin nila ito sa ibang araw, oras o kaya ay hanapin nila kung sino ang nandito, baka may magawa sa loob o tyempuhan nila na nandito ako," Taberna said.

The Quezon City Police District is currently looking into the identity and motives of the suspects.
