CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – At least 687 police officers in the Calabarzon region have been promoted.
Chief Superintendent Richard Albano, Calabarzon police director, led the oath-taking and donning of ranks of the police officers in ceremonies held here yesterday.
Albano said at least 14,000 policemen nationwide, including 60 commissioned officers, have been promoted. The promotion took effect on Monday.
Senior Superintendent Edgardo Garado, deputy regional director for administration, cited the dilemma of the Senior Officers Placement and Promotions Board in promoting more policemen due to the limited quota allocation compared to the number of applicants.
