MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-4.2 earthquake jolted parts of Bohol and Cebu yesterday morning, state seismologists said.
The quake occurred at 4:19 a.m. some two kilometers northeast of Cortes town in Bohol, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
It was felt at Intensity 4 in Cortes, Maribojoc and Antequera, and Intensity 3 in Tagbilaran City, Loon, Balilihan, San Isidro, Corella, Sikatuna and Loboc, all in Bohol.
Intensity 2 was felt in Tubigon and Alburquerque towns, both in Bohol, and Argao and Sibonga in Cebu.
The quake did not cause any damage to property and was not expected to generate aftershocks.
