ILOILO CITY, Philippines – A four-year-old-boy drowned during a family outing in Pavia town in Iloilo Sunday.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City, said Police Officer 2 Glory Galas of the Pavia police women’s and children’s desk.
The boy, who was with his parents and a younger sibling, was reportedly swimming in a pool for adults at the Parc Regency Iloilo Subdivision when the incident occurred at around 4 p.m.
Galas said the boy’s parents might have not noticed that their son was in the adult’s pool as the place was filled with visitors.
Subdivision administrator claimed there was a lifeguard but the boy’s father said there was none.
Galas said they have yet to wrap up their investigation of the incident.
