TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A village councilman was arrested for allegedly trying to transport shabu across the Cagayan River in Aparri, Cagayan Monday.
Wilson Villacillo, 37, of Barangay Tupel, Allacapan town, was collared as soon as his boat docked at the opposite side of the river.
Police seized from Villacillo three plastic sachets said to contain shabu, town police chief Chief Inspector Mina Domingo said.
Mina said Villacillo has been under surveillance for drugs.
Meanwhile, police arrested Ferdinand Collado and Rafael Halog for possessing seven plastic sachets of shabu in nearby Ballesteros town.
