Power outage to hit Tarlac, Pampanga, Cabanatuan

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga, Philippines – A power interruption that could last between four to 12 hours will be experienced in this city, Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija and Bamban and Capas in Tarlac tomorrow.

“There will be power interruption on March 1, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Mabalacat City,” an advisory sent by the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) to the Pampanga Electric Cooperative II stated. The reason for the power outage was not mentioned.

In another advisory, the NGCP said power supply through the Cabanatuan Electric Corp. would be cut from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. “to accommodate Celcor’s request for replacement of poles along Maharlika highway to connect Celcor’s new Sumacab substation.”

The power interruption in Bamban and Capas in Tarlac will be from 8 a.m. till noon “to facilitate testing of instrument transformers for TARELCO II’s revenue meter simultaneous with TARELCO II’s energization of 10MVA transformer at O’ Donnel Substation.”
