MANILA, Philippines - Heavy traffic welcomed motorists Friday morning after a truck carrying steel billets figured in an accident along C5 in Pasig City.
Initial reports said that the accident happened around 7:50 a.m.after a flatbed truck laden with steel bars bumped a taxi cab along C5 Bagong Ilog Service Road.
No one was reported injured during the mishap, which triggered traffic snarls along the southbound lane of the C5 and Pasig Boulevard and other adjacent roads leading to the area.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority traffic monitoring center, Metrobase, said that as of 7:53 a.m., the accident occupied the southbound lane of the road.
As of 10:11 a.m., both vehicles were cleared off the area, according to the MMDA- Metrobase.
