CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – Twelve police officers yesterday assumed as new chiefs of Batangas and Laguna police stations as part of the ongoing reshuffle being implemented by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The new police chiefs for Batangas were Superintendent Palaleo Addag of Sto. Tomas; Chief Inspectors Joey Badilla of Calatagan, Pablo Aguda of Nasugbu and Christopher Guste of San Juan, and Senior Inspectors Julius Alvarro of Padre Garcia, Franco Esguerra of San Nicolas and Ernesto Chavez of Cuenca.
They replaced Superintendents Barnard Dasugo and Marlowe Torina; Chief Inspectors Joey Jonathan Bagayao and Pablo Aguda; and Senior Inspectors Joel Ilagan, said Inspector Hazel Luma-ang, spokesperson for the Batangas police office.
Chavez, former chief of San Nicolas police, replaced Senior Inspector Joey Laraya of Cuenca.
Luma-ang said seven chiefs of police of Batangas were relieved from their posts on Monday for overstaying and performing poorly.
In Laguna, the new police chiefs were Superintendent Francis Allan Mendez Reglos of San Pablo City; and Senior Inspectors Noel Pascua Valdez of Rizal, Gerry Solomon Abalos of Sta. Maria, Arlen Tolentino Abastillas of Liliw and Vicente Loyola of Alaminos.
Earlier, 10 police chiefs in the province were relieved also due to overstaying and poor performance.
Sources said the PNP is in the process of reshuffling its police officers in Rizal and Cavite, where three police chiefs were to be transferred.
