LIST: Closed Manila areas, roads around Pope's residence

MANILA, Philippines — The Embassy of the Holy See in Manila, also called the Apostolic Nunciature, along Taft Avenue will serve as Pope Francis' official residence for his visit to the Philippines.

Local authorities released a public advisory noting that areas around the residence will be blocked to motorists.

Lock down of the whole block of Taft, Quirin, Leon Guinto and Dagohoy
Starting 1 p.m. on January 14 to 10 a.m. on January 19

Closure of portion of Quirino Avenue from Roxas Boulevard to Leon Guinto
Starting 3 p.m. on January 15 to 10 a.m. on January 19
(Motorists will only be allowed to cross this road portion except within two hours prior to use by the Pope's convoy)

The Light Rail Transit, or LRT, station along Quirino and Taft Avenue will not be operational during the Pontiff's five-day visit.
