MANILA, Philippines - A moderately strong earthquake rocked parts of northern Samar yesterday morning but there was no report of damage or injury, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The magnitude-4.1 quake struck some nine kilometers northwest of San Roque, Northern Samar at 1:10 a.m. The temblor was felt at Intensity 4 in San Roque, Intensity 3 in Catarman and Laoang and Intensity 2 in Allen.
A magnitude 3.1 quake was also recorded in Claveria, Cagayan at 5:42 a.m. yesterday.
