MANILA, Philippines - A series of earthquakes hit parts of Central Visayas yesterday and Tuesday night, with no report of damage or injury, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
A magnitude-3.7 quake struck one kilometer northwest of Balilihan, Bohol at 6:01 a.m. yesterday.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in San Isidro and Laon Bohol and Intensity 2 in Lila, Bohol.
A magnitude 4.6 tremor occurred at 9:52 p.m. Tuesday with its epicenter traced some four kilometers southeast of Catigbian, Bohol.
The quake was felt at Intensity 5 in Catigbian; Intensity 4 in Tagbilaran City; Antiquerra, Corella, Baclayon, Cortes, Balilihan, Loboc, Jagna, Lila, Sagbayan and Carmen, Bohol; and Intensity 3 in Alburquerque, Sikatuna, Maribojoc, Loon and Talibon, Bohol.
