CAGAYAN DE ORO, Philippines – A suspect in the murder of former mayor Imelda Caabay of Claveria town, Misamis Oriental has been charged in court.
Charged was Emma Caabay, a sister-in-law of the victim.
Police managed to take the statement of a security guard of the Maria Reyna Hospital where the victim was taken after she was stabbed last Sept. 27.
Imelda had reportedly described her assailant to the guard before she was taken into the emergency room. Witnesses said the assailant was a lesbian.
