MANILA, Philippines — A slight movement along the West Valley Fault was recorded at a magnitude of 2.7 on Monday night, the state volcanology bureau said.
In an advisory on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said that the earthquake was located 3 kilometers northwest of Pasig City and 4 kilometers southeast of Mandaluyong City.
The tectonic quake was recorded at 7:25 p.m. and had a depth of 20 kilometers.
Mild Intensity 2 shakes were felt in Pasig City, Mandaluyong City, Quezon City, Manila, Pasay City and Taguig City.
Areas in Rizal province such as Antipolo City, Taytay and Cainta were also affected with Intensity 2 tremors.
No injuries were noted and no aftershocks are expected.
