CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – A couple and one of their two children were buried alive in a landslide in Kitaotao town, Bukidnon yesterday.
Inspector Jiselle Longgakit, spokesperson for the provincial police, said the victims were at their house in Sitio Gumbaco, Barangay Sinuda when mud and rocks rolled down from the mountain.
Longgakit said village officials have confirmed that one of the couple’s children survived.
Heavy rains have been pounding the hinterlands of Bukidnon since last week.
