MANILA, Philippines - An alleged employee of the Ampatuans was arrested in Angeles City over the weekend for allegedly falsifying land titles.
Police said the arrest of Jerramy Joson stemmed from a complaint filed by Jim and Angelica Lopez in 2013.
Senior Superintendent Ismael Fernandez, chief of Central Luzon-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, said Joson had just attended a hearing for another case at the city prosecutor’s office when he was arrested.
Fernandez said Joson is said to be a trusted staff and document keeper of the Ampatuans.
